It seems to me that although it takes two to tango it takes three to conspire. The triangular three is a pointy sharp shape. It differs from the triskelion both in occult meaning and purpose.

Although many know at one level that salacious conspiracy is off, evil even, people can find it very hard to resist. It is so tempting. They look into their playbook or grimoire of manipulations and try to “get one over” on other beings.

They neglect the fact that things pertaining to magic obey the universal law of reflection. Thus, what one sends out, although it may offer temporary profit, always returns. Use of black magic always in some way hurts the practitioner, even if it is only to drag them deeper into the mire of evil and the clutches of the dark brothers. Those prone to such hurly-burly imagine themselves invulnerable and that arrogance is the thin end of the wedge through which the roots and the seeds of evil take root.
People insist on trying the same old machinations over and over…

Shakespeare’s dramatic genius is especially to be noted in the art with which he manages his beginnings. The first scene of Macbeth strikes the keynote of the play. The desert place, the wild storm, the appearance of the witches, “the wayward rhythm” of their songs, all help to prepare us for a drama in which a human soul succumbs to the supernatural suggestions of evil and ranges itself along with the witches on the devil’s side.
We hear of a battle that is even now being fought, we hear of the trysting-place of the witches at the conclusion of the fray, and last of all we hear the name of the man they are planning to meet. No sooner has the name “Macbeth” been uttered than the calls of the attendant spirits are heard and the witches hurry off. The action of the scene is over with the naming of the man against whose soul these ministers of darkness are plotting.
1. The dialogue of the witches is a sort of chant. It is thrown into a verse form, trochaic tetrameter, which Shakespeare rarely uses except for supernatural beings, witches, fairies, or the like. In order to bring out the rhyme the last syllable is dropped from the end of each line. In line 2 the rhythm is reversed and the stress falls on the second syllable of each foot. In line 8 the stressed syllable in the third foot is omitted. This forces us to pause in the middle of the line and so secures additional emphasis for the closing word, “Macbeth.” We may imagine the Third Witch pausing for a moment while her sisters gather round her and then shrieking out the name of the hero in an ecstasy of devilish joy.
12, 13. The couplet with which the witches take their departure is a confession of their creed. All that is good, “fair,” to others is evil, “foul,” to them, and vice versa. This applies to both the physical and the moral world; they revel in the “fog and filthy air,” and in every sort of mischief and evil-doing from killing swine to entrapping human souls.
This morning I had this powerful and realistic dream, which I understood to be deeply subjective and pointing to beyond the face value.
I meet a young man in a shop and hearing his Welsh accent I ask him where he is from. He says South Wales and that he and a gang of friends/colleagues are down here in London doing up an old house for someone. The house is in North or Northwest London. For some reason Highgate springs to mind. He said that they have found some strange things there and that I can take a look if I want.
Intrigued I go with him. He has been sent out for some supplies. All of them stayed up and had a party in the house the night before and several are nursing hangovers. As we arrive the outside of the house looks like these from The Grove, in Highgate.
{UCL had one of these houses as a hall of residence back in the 1980s}.
We go inside and there is a bunch of young men in the kitchen together with a couple of young women. They are a little bit surprised to see me. I speak to the young man in Welsh, and they relax.
They say that all started out ok with the renovation. But of late there have been several accidents. I look up to see a lash up of ladders between two floors and think that this is a health and safety nightmare. The young man wants to show me a wall in the house which they found behind another wall.
I climb up a ladder with him and through a crawl space. From there I can see a vast wall the height of the house and more. On it are scrawled multiple words and symbols. There are darts sticking out of the wall as if there was a dart board. The writing is in blue and red. Some of it, in red, I know to be evil incantations from those of a dark nature in a strange script and language. I say this to the young man. He says that there is another passage at the bottom of the wall, but they have been to afraid to use it.
I go through in between the walls and into another crawl space. Beyond that crawl space is a vast room with a gallery and I am on this gallery looking down into a hall below. I shout to the young man that I know this place I have seen it before when we were looking for houses. I know that it is more subjective than physical.
Down in the hall there is a metallic cage like structure and an immense fireplace. At the moment they are empty. In the dream I can visualize them as they are used. There is a huge fire in the fireplace and people gathered around. Someone is trapped in the cage, and they are using ritual black magic on the unfortunate. This room secret in this house is used for evil purposes and to generate evil thought forms. At the moment it is latent and not operational nevertheless is still emanates evil.
I go back through the crawl spaces to the kitchen. I say that they might not want to finish the job. One of the young women is J. I know that she is under an evil influence, and I suggest that she leaves the house with me, which she does.
As we leave the house some local youth pull up on bicycles. They see us exiting the house. Apparently, it has a reputation locally for being spooky and evil. They ask me if the house can get them from a distance. I reply That I do not know.
Dream ends.
On waking I am reminded of the large painted Tarot set which we saw in an antique shop in Vienna. Someone had the entire Tarot of Marseilles painted on 30 cm by 20 cm marble blocks. I know somehow that those behind the evil house have sensed my presence. It has been used to attack me before. So, I built a protective thought form of a reflective dome of blue electric fire around this house as a precaution. Any emanations will be reflected and amplified.
The four natural enemies are fear, sobriety, power, and old age.
I think it fair to say that most people have fears, some of these are crippling. In our times we have a new fear, the fear of missing out.
In the context of evolution fear of the unknown and fear of changing from the way you were socially programmed by family and peers are big, as is fear of getting rid of your internal dialogue. If you have no inner critic, what are you going to do without all those circling thoughts? Fear of silence and being alone in one’s own company is also common.
Sobriety as an enemy means that you think you know more than you do and are sufficiently detached to have no pangs of conscience if you are mean to someone. If you are sufficiently detached and uncaring you can then exert power over other beings. This kind of power is addictive to some.
You could say we have, insecure scaredy cat, clever Trevor or Jeremy and Donald the bequiffed prince of orange, the very stable genius, as archetypes of people who have succumbed to these enemies.
The fourth natural enemy is old age, it means that you are exhausted and worn out by struggle, so you just want to pack it all in, get your slippers and a mug of cocoa, nanna and gramps.
One encounters stories of a lot of people who have succumbed to power in alternative circles. It often involves copious shagging by the “guru” of people who have handed their power and wealth over to said guru, so that he can have orgies and Rolls Royces. How many people in Westminster sexually interfere with their junior staff? Power is an aphrodisiac to those who are power hungry. It is a vicious circle.
If you work in higher education, you will have encountered the young smart Alec type, who thinks that they get all the material you have been torturing them with. Thinking they know a lot, they are fond of showing off, whilst still an undergraduate. They are usually a tad more circumspect when it comes to Ph.D. viva having been disabused of their illusion.
The Toltec teachings are the only ones, that I know of, which tackle power as a subject. It is, to my eyes, implicit in Vajrayana tantra. To my opinion a discussion on temptation and on evil in a sane way, is absent in much “spiritual” material. Treating evil as a taboo subject, enables it. In the darkness strange things fester. If you can’t talk about evil in an adult rational way, you are handing your power over to evil by means of fear. Taboos are primitive and superstitious.
I’ll speculate that it is transcending the natural enemy power which is the gateway to the third initiation and thereby inevitable ultimate liberation or if you succumb becoming ever more deeply embroiled with the dark adepts and thereby not achieving liberation, not in this kalpa. Overcome the natural enemy power and in the fullness of time there is no hasta la vista baby, no au revoir.
To overcome power is tiring. If you do this, you feel knackered. Then you have to start all over and with a newfound sense of trying hard not to be a complete arrogant dickhead, rather a harmless and humble being trying their best, and with little or no drama.
This morning we had an unpleasant surprise. Someone / something has been playing silly buggers. There was a rat which had been killed in a trap placed next to our hose.
Its blood was smeared on the hose.
Someone / something had punctured its heart.
There is no way that this blood pattern could have come from the rat itself.
The blood looks to perhaps have fingerprints in it.
They also left us in the same area a long dessicated frog.
There is no way that these two “offerings” could have gotten there under their own volition.
Today I seek to speak to you on the powers of the Dark Brotherhood. Certain laws that govern their actions, certain methods employed by them in work need to be realized and certain methods of protection apprehended and utilized. As before I have told you the danger is as yet inappreciable to the majority, but more and more as time elapses shall we find it necessary to teach you, the physical plane workers, how to shield and guard yourselves from attack.
The Dark Brothers are – remember this always – brothers, erring and misguided yet still sons of the one Father though straying far, very far, into the land of distances. The way back for them will be long, but the mercy of evolution inevitably forces them back along the path of return in cycles far ahead. Anyone who over-exalts the concrete mind and permits it continuously to shut out the higher, is in danger of straying on the left-hand path. Many so stray… but come back, and then in the future avoid like errors in the same way as a child once burnt avoids the fire. It is the man who persists in spite of warning and of pain who eventually becomes a brother of darkness. Mightily fights the Ego {Soul} at first to prevent the Personality so developing, but the deficiencies of the causal body (for forget not that our vices are but our virtues misused) result in a lop-sided causal body, over-developed in some direction and full of great gulfs and gaps where virtues should be.
The dark brother recognizes no unity with his species, only seeing in them people to be exploited for the furtherance of his own ends. This then, on a small scale, is the mark of those who are being used by them wittingly or unwittingly. They respect no person, they regard all men as fair prey, they use everyone to get their own way enforced, and by fair means or foul they seek to break down all opposition and for the personal self acquire that which they desire.
The dark brother considers not what suffering he may cause; he cares not what agony of mind he brings upon an opponent; he persists in his intention and desists not from the hurt of any man, woman or child, provided that in the process his own ends are furthered. Expect absolutely no mercy from those opposing the Brotherhood of Light.
On the physical plane and on the emotional plane, the dark brother has more power than the Brother of the Light, – not more power per se but more apparent power, because the White Brothers choose not to exert Their power on those two planes, as do the Dark Brothers. They could exert Their authority but They choose to refrain, working with the powers of evolution and not of involution. The elemental forces to be found on these two planes are manipulated by two factors.
The inherent forces of evolution that direct all on to eventual perfection. The White Adepts cooperate in this.
The Dark Brothers who occasionally employ these elemental forces to wreak their will and vengeance on all opponents. Under their control work sometimes the elementals of the earth plane, the gnomes and the elemental essence as found in evil form, some of the brownies, and the fairy folk of colors brown, gray and somber-hued. They cannot control the devas of high development, nor the fairies of colors blue, green and yellow, though a few of the red fairies can be made to work under their direction. The water elementals (though riot the sprites or sylphs) move on occasion to their assistance, and in the control of these forces of involution they at times damage the furtherance of our work.
Oft too the Dark Brother masquerades as an agent of the light, oft he poses as a messenger of the gods, but for your assurance I would say that he who acts under the guidance of the Ego {Soul} will have clear vision, and will escape deception.
At this time their power is oft-times mighty. Why? Because so much exists as yet in the Personalities of all men that respond to their vibration, and so it is easy for them to affect the bodies of men. So few of the races, comparatively speaking, have as yet built in the higher vibration that responds to the keynote of the Brotherhood of Light, who move practically entirely on the two highest levels (or the atomic and subatomic subplanes) of the mental, emotional and physical planes. When moving on these subplanes the attacks of elementals on lower planes may be felt but effect no harm, hence the necessity of pure living and controlled pure emotions and elevated thought.
You will notice that I said that the power of the Dark Brotherhood is dominant apparently on the physical and emotional planes. Not so is it on the mental, which is the plane on which the Brothers of the Light work. Mighty dark magicians may be located on the lower mental levels, but on the higher, the White Lodge dominates, the three higher subplanes being the levels that They beg the evolving sons of men to seek; it is Their region, to which all must strive and aspire. The Dark Brother impresses his will on human beings (if analogous vibration exists) and on the elemental kingdoms of involution. The Brothers of Light plead as pleaded the Man of Sorrows for an erring humanity to rise upward to the light. The Dark Brother retards progress and shapes all to his own ends; the Brother of Light bends every effort to the hastening of evolution and – foregoing all that might be His as the price of achievement – stays amid the fogs, the strife, the evil and the hatred of the period if, in so doing, He may by all means aid some, and (lifting them up out of the darkness of earth) set their feet upon the Mount, and enable them to surmount the Cross.
And now what methods may be employed to safeguard the worker in the field of the world? What can be done to ensure his safety in the present strife and in the greater strife of the coming centuries?
A realization that purity of all the vehicles is the prime essential. If a Dark Brother gains control over any man it but shows that that man has in his life some weak spot. The door whereby entrance is effected must be opened by the man himself; the opening whereby malignant force can be poured in must be caused by the occupant of the vehicles. Therefore the need of scrupulous cleanliness of the physical body, of clean steady emotion permitted in the emotional body, and of purity of thought in the mental body. When this is so, coordination will be present in the lower vehicles and the indwelling Thinker himself permits no entrance. {See Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.}
The elimination of all fear. The forces of evolution vibrate more rapidly than those of involution and in this fact lies a recognizable security. Fear causes weakness; weakness causes a disintegration; the weak spot breaks and a gap appears, and through that gap evil force may enter. The factor of entrance is the fear of the man himself, who opens thus the door.
A standing firm and unmoved, no matter what occurs. Your feet may be bathed in the mud of earth, but your head may be bathed in the sunshine of the higher regions. Recognition of the filth of earth involves not contamination.
A recognition of the use of common sense and the application of this common sense to the matter in hand. Sleep much and, in sleeping, learn to render the body positive; keep busy on the emotional plane and achieve the inner calm. Do naught to overtire the body physical, and play whenever possible. In hours of relaxation comes the adjustment that obviates later tension.
Your feet may be bathed in the mud of earth, but your head may be bathed in the sunshine…
