The Swamp Has Gone Yellow

The drought continues to lower water levels in the pond and in the swamp. The pond is now at the lowest level we have seen since we moved in. No rain is forecast for a while.

Over the past week or so the “swamp” is really staring to live up to its name. It is nearly dried up and has some weird bright yellow growth on the surface. I don’t think its is chemical. It is odd. Yellow is not best for photosynthesis.

The swamp fills when Le Jaudy goes above a certain level and floods. It gets a fill at least once a year, so far.
