In one of the Toltec aphorisms, it says “it takes power to speak of power” which could be rephrased “it takes knowledge to speak of knowledge”.
It has been my experience that people are not overly happy speaking about exorcism, especially late at night. I’ll wager if I tried to engage most people in this subject, out here, in the garden, in the middle of the night, most people would want to go back inside the house and not engage. This would be particularly true if they were in need of an exorcism to help remove the hooks and the barbs of the Dark Brotherhood.
Ambition is seen as a good thing. Does this sound like ambition?
“The dark brother recognizes no unity with his species, only seeing in them people to be exploited for the furtherance of his own ends. This then, on a small scale, is the mark of those who are being used by them wittingly or unwittingly. They respect no person, they regard all men as fair prey, they use everyone to get their own way enforced, and by fair means or foul they seek to break down all opposition and for the personal self, acquire that which they desire.
The dark brother considers not what suffering he may cause; he cares not what agony of mind he brings upon an opponent; he persists in his intention and desists not from the hurt of any man, woman or child, provided that in the process his own ends are furthered. Expect absolutely no mercy from those opposing the Brotherhood of Light.”
I have met many people who use others. I doubt any of them would imagine that they are in the clutches of the dark brotherhood. They would imagine that it is their right to use others to further their ambition. We are about to see a greasy pole climb in Westminster and the stilettos will be out the scabbards. It is socially acceptable in some circumstances to have ruthless ambition and self-advance at the expense of others. “Greed is good!”
Those who are losing the battle against the third natural enemy POWER may fall into the clutches of the dark thought forms propagated by the dark brotherhood. They succumb to the metaphorical Mephistopheles.
If you look at the unrealistic behaviour of Trump, you see a man who has been thoroughly beaten by power. He spread paranoia, doubt, lies and was generally a very nasty piece of work. His next rebirth will be a shocker. The world is populated by micro-Trumps. Perhaps you are one.
Overuse of concrete minds says that it is justifiable to be ruthlessly ambitious. “Mephistopheles” is the clever wordsmith that finds the line or argument in lower mind to appeal to your latent confirmation biases. Although you might be a genius like Faust, he is the more nimble. He will find just the right pseudo-rational justification for you to err. And then he will encourage you further along that path until you have lost sight of the being you once were.
It is then that you might need a full blown exorcism…
